I am not a facebook inhabitant, so I can't see it.

And I haven't really been active in the shred lately. I suppose that's not really a bad thing though.

You can't even see the pic though?
And yeah, I have been quite sporadic on PA lately.
Which is indeed a good thing

Busy living in the woods?

The woods are too cold this time of the year to live in, but with surprisingly big amounts of snow they're very, very pretty.
And I'm not in the bm mood at the moment. So I will have to live through the snow without Agalloch this winter. Shocked

Well Agalloch is only marginally BM
And they are indeed. If by some divine miracle (god or satan, I dont care) I dont have to work tomorrow I shall take a walk to the snowy woods.

Agalloch has their roots in the aesthetic and sound of black metal (listen to a band like Drudkh and you'll see the resemblence) but they are certainly more than that. Black metal is surprisingly diverse.

I know Drudkh, thank you very much.

Yeah, I have Agalloch's first EP. It's the closest they get.
Outside that, they may have the BM atmosphere, but that doesn't cut it for me LOL

Also, I am pretty strict with black metal...bands that stray too far from the core become prog or folk metal to me.
Or post-folk prog metal in Agalloch's case!

Fair enough, I know plenty of people that don't consider the band 'black metal,' but in the end they're all just labels... I've talked to Don about it and they just consider themselves really to be a metal band w/ folk.
