Listening to The Gift of Purpose now - Hugh's bass sounded like Paganotti's for a short while. Shocked

Aginor, you may find it interesting that Matt Cameron was in Tone Dogs before drumming for Soundgarden - I don't know if he's still in Soundgarden now, but I know you like them, so you may want to check out Tone Dogs...completely different style of music, but they're a pretty great band, they're on PA.  I just added them about 2 days ago, actually. LOL

James (or JIm) is one of the most underrated modern drummers and sadly litle mentiond.

I see him as the missing link between the styles of Gavin Harrison and Danny Carry, he have the jazzy style and influence that also Gavin has, but also the power and way to play odd-time in a natural way as Danny Carry and I will check it out somehow.
I know he have a jazz, and progy background rather then metal/punk, if one actualy pay some atention to some of the drum work by Soundgarden one might detect his freeflowing and effortless style.

and here is a snare drum solo

Cool

Which also featured the bassist from Caveman Shoestore, who happens to play with Hugh Hopper on a few albums (Hughscore).  Wasn't Amy Denio also in Tone Dogs?

I hate to break to you, Jon but Hugh Hopper was better than Paganotti.

That sounds like it is Amy Denio then, as she also plays saxophone.  I love her voice.

You mean since their last really good album which doesn't exist?

I know people love Ten but I find it boring.
