So how do I know which net this IRC server I connected to is on? Confused

Oh, apparently it's mentioned on the long text thingy which I didn't read. Embarrassed

There's an interesting programme on television about modern Scandinavian literature.  They also happened to be playing John Coltrane in the background.  It's excellent so far.
