Black Sabbath any day!

Black Sabbath - they recorded many of great albums (both Ozzy and Dio eras),and are in fact one of cornerstone of all hard rock, heavy metal and in part prog rock. Rush had just some really good albums.

Even though I can't vote...I have to say that you cannot compare these two.

I thought Black Sabbath were a very good progressive band. The last 4 Ozzy era albums are what I think of as hard core prog rock / metal. Some tracks succeded less than others but they tried different things, well done.

Rush are imagination and virtuosity. Both bands have great atmospheres on their albums. Getting the best albums by both outfits will not hurt your collection.

I like 'em equally.

Rush! Black sabbath is nowhere near as good.

I must admit that i like alot of the NWOBHM bands who were inspired by Black sabbath though.

I love both bands, but Rush probably is my all time favorite band.

I have major issues getting into Rush... I like the first song on Hemispheres and like three songs from Moving Pictures but that's about it...

Sabbath is my favorite band of all time... so no contest :D
