Mmm, one of the best things about being home is leftovers - easy meals at midnight, yes please!

lol posted this in the wrong thread somehow

Oh God "Bouncing Off Clouds"is one of the best Tori Amos songs and I didn't even realize it till now! Love that chord progression. Marillion's "Don't Hurt Yourself" + U2's "Magnificent" = this song. So damn good.

I saw that, was like...uhh, none of this is an album which begins with the letter U. LOL

Which album's that on?  I only have Little Earthquakes and Boys for Pele so far.

American Doll Posse. To be honest, the last 4 or so Tori Amos albums have had about 3 insanely good songs each, then a ton of songs with meandering chord progressions that doesn't mean anything. At leats that's what I feel now. Still listening.

Yay, my dogs did not pee on the carpet while I was gone for almost 10 hours at work!

By the way, you should not look up the album Two Virgins unless you want to see John Lennon's penis. The music is probably pretty bad too, but it's soooo avant.

I have seen the cover a long time ago on some bad album cover site.

I probably have too, but I forgot so I was still surprised. And with virgin in the title and everything it's just so appropriate for SR...

So, I go out to do some Christmas shopping. Then I go to a coffee shop on the way home. Now, people tell me I often don't notice when women flirt with me if they do. But Christ it seemed so obvious that girl behind the counter was! We talked about how crazy it was shopping today, college, post-college, jobs, etc. This was way more than usual barista banter stuff. I wasn't prodding either, she seemed interested, genuinely. Anyway, I finally get the stones to ask for her number and lo and behold, boyfriend. I don't think it was they typical "I don't really have a boyfriend but I just need a way to deflect this" kind of thing, either. Overall, I think I handled it all pretty cool, even if I did take too long to ask.

But really

?

There are no single women. It is a mythological creature.
She just wanted a tip, man. :P And have you tried joining OKCupid? I know one person on the internet who met his wife there, so it has to work for at least some people. And even if it doesn't it will be amusing for the rest of us!

Well, right now I'm waiting to see if I ge the scholarship to Saint Francis. Suppose I do...

1. Oh yay free college for awhile!
2. Move the f**k out of my parent's house
3. Continue working.

I think I'll be really satisfied and confident then. Meeting people should be better and with more prospect then.

If no scholarship, I'm not sure. I want to just work my ass off at my job until spring, then quit and drive West. Because f**k it , man. But I don't know. Even if I don't do that, I'll eventually just get another job, get about 40 hrs a week or something, and get another place. Now I'm just stuck in between.

But this past thing...I wasn't really trying to force it. I've had the cordial barista thing before. And I know people bullsh*tting and trying to get tips. Fact: I put a tip in the box after paying, and we talked a lot after that. She wasn't doing it from a tip motive.

It's not like I'm sitting here bawwing my face off. Some people talk through relationship problems, not bury it under a mountain of post metal.

Yeah, living at home sucks that way.
Wish I was more outgoing with school, used to think "lol yeah like I'll find the right person there!"
Many engagements and weddings later.....
Ah well, I blew that opportunity out the window. Much harder in the real world.

Whatever eh?

I should make it clear I've never tried online dating, but I think there shouldn't be such a stigma attached to it, it's just another way to meet people and OKC is free. At the very least I love OKC's blog posts. The problem with most guys trying online dating seems to be that they set their standards way too high, so most attractive women get so many messages they never respond to them while the reasonably attractive women get almost none.

Nah I'm good. No relationships = no relationship problems!

I hate playing the game, I really do. Barring the EXTREMELY unlikely chance I bump into some girl and it just clicks, then....I'm destined to be alone until I can play the game. And frankly, I don't care so much at the moment (no asexual).

What can I say? Im a lazy, apathetic b*****d. So I don't bitch about being lonely.
When I try and fail then sure.
Really would be nice to be away wouldn't it? True me time and living without confines.

Well, I guess. But it would be more about taking away everything I've ever known and relied on (except my car I guess), and seeing what I make of it.
