Topic: Name the Lyrical Passage Posted: November 08 2004 at 23:16 |
Okay...the rules:
Write a verse or two and the next person is to name the song and the band.
for example: Is there anybody out there?
answer would be...Is There Anybody Out There- by Pink Floyd
Obviously that was REALLY easy but you get the point.
Now Cesar Inca...let's try not to make them too vague.
I'll start it with an easy one to get the ball rolling.
Hounds freeze in silence bewitched by the reptile spell Sulphurous essence pervades round the grassy dell Heorot awaits him like lamb to the butcher's knife Stellular heavens ignore even children's cries
now you name the song and the band....it's that easy..I hope you like or you'll make me
Oh...and after that you leave your verse for the next person.
Cheers!

Hungry Freaks, Daddy- Mr. Frank Zappa 1966
Each man has a memory
and much more than the eye can see
Yet, still others linger deep inside you
Haunting thoughts of pain and joy divide you

'Apercu' by KANSAS.
"We walked along, sometimes hand in hand, between the thin lines marking sea and sand; smiling very peacefully, we began to notice that we could be free, and we moved together to the West."

Yes -- "It Can Happen"
From the much-maligned (but good overall, methinks) 90210.
Try this:
"Just keep me nose clean -- eggs, chips and beans
I'm always full of steam."
Yes, great thread, Gdub!

Can any Brits remember the correct words to the HeBeGebes piss take on Squeeze's Up The Junction, called Up The er rum.... which rhymed in quick succession:
belly, Pirelli, jelly, Lisa Minelli, telly, smelly, vermecelli?
It was a song about the amazing fertility of young man, alas with all the women he had relations with, and also contains the line: "I precautions, I gave her a false name" - Phil Pope could write 'em. (It was broadcast on Radio 4 comedy show Radio Active).
