I couldn't study listening to Kraftwerk; it sounds too goofy to me and it'd be distracting.

Well that's because Kraftwerk (past Tone Float and Kraftwerk 1 & 2) sounds goofy. LOL  Imagine them without the vocals or poppy sound, and with a lot more experimentation/skill in the electronics department, and add in occasional real drums and you've got Klaus Schulze.

That sounds a little more appealing, maybe I'll look into that, but what I said before is my general opinion on most electronic music.

If you've tried Tangerine Dream and don't like them, you won't like Klaus Schulze either most likely.

I'm not much help with that right now, I haven't listened to anything but Can or this playlist for the past several days.
