Hey Xanatos, I don't think Beefheart is prog.

Should I be banned from PA for committing acts of treachery and heresy?

Hell no.

If the excellent X-over team (yeah, those guys who have to separate the diamonds from the **** all week) inducted her into the Archives they have a pretty good reason to do so. If you think Björk's addition disturbs you, you can simply ignore her.

I've defended any controversial additions I have supported.  There is probably a defense out there here, but you were too busy griping to find it.  I stepped down as a voting member and I can't speak to it as I really don't know her stuff and would have abstained anyway.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Bjork's Medulla is a multi-layered experimental nearly all-vocal album with complex rhythms, harmony, thoughtful lyrics and virtuosic performances. It is one of the most progressive albums put out by a major artist in the last 10 years.

That's why she's here.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

And that is one of the best defences/explanations of any addition to any site/list I have seenClap

I'm not sure there's anything progressive at all about that album.

Such vocal experimentation can be found all over the 90s, especially in avant/world music.
I'm thinking of Iva Bittova, Mikhail Alperin, Dmitir Pokrovsky and probably countless others I don't know.
It wouldn't surprise me if John Zorn has something similar as well.

That being said I don't mind her being here.

I´m fully supporting Björk´s addition to Prog Archives. Although I cannot agree with some recent controversial additions.  For me  Björk is progressive despite of many opposite opinions!

Well, good luck, Crazy Queen of Iceland!

Yeah, I thought I shouldn't mention these "subterranean" aspects. Apparently nobody told the Avant-prog team, though Wink
