Listening to a friend's iPod, untouched by prog, and what sample do I hear in Kanye West's new single, "Power"? King Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man," of course. Anyone heard this? Thoughts?

Actually, this has been brought up many many many times. A lot of us know about it. Don't mean to sound mean, but just letting you know. Also, that song pisses me off. Power, not... KC's

This is so played out- check this thread for some schooling. It's a big list of examples of prog in rap, many of them going back years. It's not even comprehensive, I've got lots more I could use. Prog heads are just ignorant about hip-hop for the most part so they think this is something new.

Yeah, sorry anoah, but I couldn't resist the little joke. Oh and just a friendly tip, next time or any time you want to create a thread, go and check that it hasn't been made already by going to the 'search' function at the top of the forum page. Keep posting and enjoy the forum! Thumbs Up

It's complete rubbish. I'm not in the least bit impressed that he's sampled KC. His own song is a crock of sh*t, like everything else I've ever heard by him.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!
