The problem with 413 for PA is that he's not eligible according to the signed/unsigned policy. Pinch

What? the band did released an album. How they can't be eligible?

It's a free release, nothing is being sold.

Oh yes, it is. They ARE selling their CD, or LP actually. But they are still offering their album for free, a very smart move IMO. Who really likes it will buy it for sure.

He isn't selling the CD afaik, but offering it for free to those who request it.

Dude, read here.

Dude, have you missed the "This album will not be sold neither in physical nor in digital format" part? Wacko

The difference between 413 and Cloudkicker is that while both give the music for free as downloads, Cloudkicker sells the CDs.

Joel tabbed all of The Mantle by ear?  Impressive.  I don't have that good of pitch.

I think he had a tab for it, he said the only reason he's not learning any Magma is because there aren't tabs out there.

Yah, I just got Guitar Pro tab for all of it. I've learnt some stuff by ear but I can't pick out chords for sh*t.

Miles Davis' albums E.S.P. and Miles Smiles are really good.  Much different to a lot of his earlier recordings.  Plus I love the raspy trumpet and the piano of Herbie Hancock.

I think I may prefer this line-up even over the classic one with Coltrane in it. Shocked

Yay, I broke our stereo system. Recently it hasn't spinned all the cds, so I opened it and blew some dust off. Now it doesn't spin anything. Thumbs Up I can still play iPod and computer through it, luckily.

Woot!

Also, I just read that Finnish people are "the bookworms of Europe", and I instantly thought of the one Finn friend I have and who works... in a library. Tongue

"Bookworms"? I'm not very patriotic, but I feel that the French expression "library rats" is a bit less pejorative.

The Finnish 'kirjatoukka' literally means 'book larva'.

I don't that's a French expression. And as you can see the Finns don't take "bookworms" in a pejorative acception.

I have never thought of the term bookworm pejoratively.
