Indeed, I just saw dredg live two days ago, and I just listened to el cielo for the first time. It's pretty good and I think it'll grow on me more over time.
Caio, I had to go to dinner but I fixed the links.
Yeah, he should still be allowed on the Archives, regardless of if he has a signed release. Cloudkicker is here, after all. |
As I said in the suggestion thread, I think the band might belong in the archives, just not in progressive metal.

Err, apparently it's not all covers, but a mixture of covers, remixes and unreleased stuff.

As do I, and I know you said that your preliminary listenings made you think they weren't right for experimental/post, but you should really try listening to the album in its entirety.

That's what I was hoping/expecting...it's the "25 Songs" release, both albums on one disc. I'll be listening it last - save the best for last, eh?

I listened to the full album s. ![Ouch Ouch](smileys/smiley18.gif) But as I mentioned, I wasn't thinking about exp/post. The thing is, that genre needs a revamp ASAP. It is pretty much a non-genre right now, a dumping ground for everything that is somewhat metal, but not fitting in the other genres . . . And even so bands that should be there eventually end up in tech/extreme . . . .

My bad, I didn't know you had tried them. I agree, but the problem is that there are so many subgenres there that it would require a whole 'nother archives for (MMA) to try and break it down any further. I could see them splitting it up a bit more though.
