If you would like to describe a prog band and use recipes or different dishes for advises what dishes (or drinks) you would use to describe what the overall sound of a prog band.

like what dish would you describe the overall sound of Genesis, or Pink Floyd or King Crimson

what type of food do you think King Crimson is closest to metaphorically

bands have overall elements that is their stamp or things you automaticly recognise the band, use that as help when looking for food which gives you the same exact idea

I will give you some examples

like i did in the Pink Floyd vs King Crimson (in the battle of prog bands) poll.

I compared King Crimosn to f.eks a shish kebab, or taco this is how I personally feel what King Crimson is superficially or Pink Floyd i compared to a Spagetti dish

Hi,

Pink Floyd is easy ... breakfast!

And ... Nick Mason asking if there are any chips and beans ... it's all there .... in the Live in Pompeii film ... and if you get bored, you can add the music from Ummagumma!

And the best yet ... Becan ... from the Coffee House Band ... you guys don't know them yet but it makes a lot of the prog here sound like baby steps! But, that information is not public knowledge yet!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Yes: an excessively tall layer cake with multi-coloured sugar flowers and frosting
King Crimson: an extra-rare rump steak
Ozric Tentacles: those funny-lookin' mushrooms you found in the woods one day
Hawkwind: hash cake
Genesis: English high tea with cakes and cucumber sandwiches, of which you ate too many
Van der Graaf Generator: an 8-course meal of hard-to-eat dishes
Gentle Giant: as above, but in takeaway containers
Höyry-kone: mämmi, washed down with lots of koskenkorva
Alamaailman Vasarat: döner kebab, eating while racing a wheelchair

I like to think of Tool as a big plate of psilocybin mushrooms.
