Also, I skipped over it when Kos posted it, WE HAVE PROVED THE EXISTENCE OF ANTIMATTER

Yay!

No!

What just happened!

Oh my!

You know, we joke but I wonder if I simply am being assimilated by the internet completely with these links.

if you own a sodastream i hate you

Conor's a funny dood.

Forgive me, but I'm woefully inept when it comes to alcohol slang: is a Jagerbomb a jagermeister mixed drink?  And I assume they f*ck you up pretty good.

So many Henry links to read!

Yeah, Conor is pretty cool.
And yes, Jagerbomb is jager mixed with red bull (or any energy drink...we used Amp)
What really kills is that it doesn't take like booze at all, sooo you can drink many without knowing what you're doing. Which is kinda the problem.

Yeah, I've read about what alcoholic energy drinks do to you.  The caffeine and such keeps you so stimulated that you don't notice you're drunk so you keep drinking more. That is potentially dangerous.

And yeah, I'm really digging Path to Hocma as well, I'd give it a solid 4 stars.  It's a shame the vocals are so hit and miss with the people around here.

That too.
Also, I'm no expert but mixing stimulants and depressants can't be very good, especially in excess.
It is a bit of a scary idea, never had more than 2 in one night. Just kinda freaks me out Ermm

I hear ya. Apparently it killed it for KoS. Not sure what the problem is?
The vocals are fine to me. LOL

Well, they're rather post-hardcore-ish.  It killed it for Alex too; that probably explains why he didn't like Rosetta either.  He does sound a shocking amount like Rosetta's vocalist.

I got too many links logged up so I just posted all of them.

I think that professor was kind of a dick actually. How could you prove that someone cheated? How did they get the "test bank"? How do we know it wasn't posted by someone somewhere on the internet? Just because you did some deep Googling doesn't mean you would know that he would be lazy and use the test bank.

f**king homeopathy.

Yeah, its funny I used to hate hardcore vocals....but now I'm fine with em.

Go figure.
And I never heard Rosetta, should I?

Oh well, there loss Kevin. We'll enjoy 413 and boast about our superior musical tastes Cool

Oh, and yes Henry...One day you will wake up and see everything like it is the Matrix.
And realize you have officially become merged with the internet.

Yes you should, JJ.

Actually, maybe.  They're spacey post-metal (they describe their own music as astronaut metal), but it's got heavy doses of post-hardcore and *gasp* shoegaze.  But it's not like the typical shoegaze music (it is metal after all), but it is in the sense that it's just dripping with heady guitar effects.

Try this:

Well if its just bits of post hardcore and kinda shoegaze...I think I'll live.
Especially if its any good.

Speaking of posty type metal.
The Ocean is pretty cool, and I really like Valley of Smoke.
Going on my top 5 list for 2010. Me thinks

Yes, indeed!
I also bought this random CD, by Kylesa.
No idea what it was but turned out to be posty.

And shame about Isis.

Kylesa are pretty sludgy so they do fit that end of the spectrum, their newest is supposed to be excellent.

I respect ISIS for doing what they did.

Also, that Rosetta song hits an awesome peak around the 6 minute mark.

OK, in your opinion what IS sludge metal?

I dont really see how its anything distinct. More a style then a sub genre.
Especially since sludge metal bands tend to be listed as doom/prog/post anyway.

Oh, and the album by Kylesa was Spiral Shadows, their most recent. Was pretty cool.
Store had it as "atmospheric progressive sludge metal" aka POST METAL lol

LOL that pretty much is post metal, hehe.

I dunno, sludge is both a style and a subgenre.  Slow churning riffs, heavy, fuzzy, sometimes psychedelic guitars, and repetitive pounding rhythms.  That doesn't sound very descriptive but it's pretty discernible.

This is cool.  Fitting, as I was still listening to the Rosetta track.
