it is a lovely movie with a nice warm but intelegant at the same time, filled with nostalgia, nice music and a legendary car-race which sat a standar in how races were made in the future,

it is ranked as the 35th best animated movie in the world according to IMDBs rankings and have less the half of the votes the other high ranked movies got,

It is a national icon of a movie, EVERYONE have watched it here, it is almoust regarded as the

national holy symbol nr 2 after

this

An absolute classic movie and a must have DVD (which I have). Both Steven Spielberg and George Lucas rates this movie very high.

The movie has been watched by far more people that there is Norwegians alive. That on cinema alone. Taken into account the various home movies versions (VHS, DVD, Blueray), it is very probable that at least 99 % of all Norwegians has watched this movie at least once in their lifetime. Every time someone puts it up on a cinema, the cinema sells out.

This movie is a national institution which defines Norway and Norwegians like Fawlty Towers defines England and it's population.

......... I need to get my DVD player together and watch this movie again.
