I'm just glad no one can call us out on defending other players at this point in the game because there isnt even a possibility of having a teammate yet.
So, yeah, I don't find Mandy (Sorsha) suspicious for the chapel thing. I thought it would probably be a safe place to be too. The early votes are also making me way nervous.

What's up with the self votes? I don't think both of them were a casual act. Either both were forced or they gain something in being the sacrifice. Btw, dear Alex being the sacrifice is something else or just a different way of saying you'll die by lynch?

It is not clear what will happen to the sacrifice.
All that is made public is that the sacrifice will presumably be sucked into the black hole.

Ok, thanks...for nothing But yeah I maintain my thought that maybe being sucked into the black hole is not the same as being dead so that could explain the odd self votes...

This is avant-mafia. Presumably it could for some rhyme or reason also transport you to another dimension of flying monkey-waffles.

Alex, I thought you said this previously, but i want to clarify~
Question~ is Avant an intrinsic part of the storyline, or is it a theme like in other Mafia games? In most games, knowledge of the theme makes the game more fun, but it isn't an actual part of the decision making process.
Is that the case here?

I'd argue that it is an intrinsic part of the storyline, but I understand what distinction you're making. Thus, I'd say most of it is just a theme. There is only a very small part of the game where knowledge of the theme may perhaps lead to better decision making, but even that isn't guaranteed.
For nearly all cases, knowledge of the theme will only lead to making the game more fun (understanding more references, etc.).
Does that answer your question?

And while being sucked into a black hole certainly could be bad, haven't they been used as transportation shortcuts in some Sci Fi universes, basically as hypothesized wormholes?
Or even as passages into another dimension?
BUT, since this is Mafia, and this IS a lynch vote, I will assume being sucked into a wormhole is, um, bad, m'kay??

Yes, it does~ Thank You And I have been spending a lot of time reading & YouTubing, I actually already liked a lot of this, although not the deeper tracks or more esoteric bands. Expanding horizins is good, so this has been fun for me

Ciubia has a good theory. Depending on the answer to S~V~S's question it wouldn't surprise me if the sacrifice is saved by the misterious voice (with or without the knowledge of the remaining players) while the rest are punished.

Robert (Epignosis) is the only other person besides Necktie who didn't vote. And before this morning, he hadn't logged in since Sunday. Plus I know him and his family are moving soon so he's probably busy with that. I'm starting to think I let the cat out of the bag over the whole Sorsha thing, because it got blown way out of proportion moreso than I wanted it to. And I didn't realize she was going to get so insulted when I suggested it either. Anyone else have any other hypotheses they'd be willing to share?

My only hypothesis is that someone actually isn't going to get lynched this round. Sockface's explanation to S-V-S makes me think that the person who is voted to be sacrificed will have something good or bad happen to them, though I don't think it means their erasure from the game. Just a hunch.
