Whoa, who said otherwise? LOL
Just saying given the whole benching him for Rex thing and subsequent stories that's one hell of a 180!

Besides, he won't play another 5 years, at least not for them. But still, 40 mill guaranteed?
Holy moses

Sorry I thought you were defending the contract, misinterpreted your post.

"not a bad deal, for him" is a vast understatement.  And yes in light of that benching this is even more bizarre.

Ah well, Dan Snyder has long been an expert at flushing cash down the toilet.

That contract is absolutely ridiculous. Way to pay an aging quarterback clearly on a decline for things he did 5 years ago.

The Redskins are such a terribly managed franchise. They'll probably blow some more draft picks they desperately need this off-season to bring in aging past-prime vets.

Ah, understood I often have no clue what I'm saying even.
Yeah this is the perfect example of the Skins terrible management.
It's honestly mind boggling. 40 million dollars guaranteed for McNabb? That's Cowboys-esque on the wtf meter!

Eagles V. Redskins

We shall see...but I have a feeling that very first play will pretty much sum up the game....

Good feeling.

Total and unequivocal domination.

Yup, complete burning of the Skins.

ACTUALLY, for like 5 minutes I was impressed with them. They stopped the Eagles twice and scored on 2 explosive plays themselves.
That's probably the best they can hope for!

But ouch, we all know the redskins are a woeful team, and the Eagles are just going for blood against them.

And I never thought I'd say this, EVER...but Michael Vick is actually a QB!

Eagles D probably checked out a bit, I think it's hard for even the pros to keep 100% focus when you're up that big...but man this is a shellacking.

IF Vick can stay healthy, and the rest of the team of course Eagles could absolutely take that spot as "Best in the NFC"

And he may be aging, and declining but I'll give McNabb his credit. He still has something left in the tank both physically and in mentality, and given the team around him, I'll say that's worth something LOL

WOW!

I know it was the Skins but still, this is damn impressive.

20/28 for 333 yards, 4 TD/ 0 INT
Also 80 yards running and another 2 TD

I was very impressed with how Vick sat in the pocket, even when a lot of pressure came on him, made his progressions and then accurate throws. He only ran when needed, and was impossible to stop and of course eluded pressure.

Also his distribution passes and touchdowns was very balanced.
Impressive game from Vick. Still don't like him as a person but damn, what a game.

The Patriots don't have talent?

What they have now is potential talent.  They are the youngest team in the league.  Not that it takes much talent to run their nancy boy offense, just look at their SB winning rosters.  I don't get all the talk about them not being as good as those teams, frankly.  It's not as though they were impressive in any of their SB winning seasons and they have the same basic talent level and exact same system (minus 1 cameraman).

If their offense is so "nancy boy", then the big bad Steel curtain should have no problem shutting it down, yes?

I agree with you pretty much, but they're still talented. It's not like the Browns came in and beat the Steelers.

That Eagles game was a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lotttttttttttttt of fun to watch.

Screw close games. I'd rather see my team run over the other. Especially after the disgusting behavior of Landry became known to me.

I was quite upset about the defensive play. They probably checked out after it was 35-0. Can't blame them too much, but still can't get burnt by a no talent Redskins team for the deep plays like they did.

Vick is playing his way to an MVP at this point.

And Superbowl MVP and greatest sports redemption story of all time.

Blind optimism has never let a Philly fan down.

Sure will be an interesting second half, seeing who emerges from the pack of 6-3 teams (and Atlanta who is poking their head out a bit at 7-2) in the NFC.

It's a shame that it appears that the Packers and Saints are getting back to form. The only NFC team that really scares me now is the Saints though, and I believe we can certainly beat them.

Actually it makes perfect sense, they got that 3-4 with those big linemen and those big ol outside LB's
Doesn't seem quite fitting for stopping that style.

"Nancy Boy" is a bit much to say but I'd agree. Ever since 07 man, Pats run that 3, 4 receiver spread offense throwing 2 yard passes. Wes Welker isn't even like a receiver, he plays in a spread so he's more open and he catches all those little passes.

Whatever works man, but I hate the offensive style and its pretty boring to watch.
Annoyingly difficult to stop though.
