Theism vs. Atheism ... will it ever be settled?

Well, we better hope you're right. I know this sounds like "fear-mongering", but there are enclaves of fundamentalist Muslims in many European countries, including Germany. As far as I know the problem is worst in France, England and Sweden though. It's of course difficult to get precise numbers, and to determine whether (and at which rate) these enclaves are growing.

BTW: Turkey is currently on its way back to Sharia ... but we don't hear media reports about it, because such topics cannot be reported in a politically correct way, so they simply don't mention them.

These 'enclaves of fundamentalist Muslims in Europe' you cite must by definition totally reject western values and deliberately distance themselves from the wider population. Ergo, apart from such communities being 'ghettoes just waiting for someone to cut the ribbon' what possible threat of proselytism is there?
(You seem to be suggesting that there are mobilised militia just waiting for their orders).
I do agree however that we must harbour suspicions about the hypocrisy of those whose totalitarian views are protected by systems it is their avowed aim to destroy.

No I'm not suggesting they are imprisoned in any sort of privation (as Bawer's talk makes clear) but just that as they have chosen to shut themselves away, this seems to contradict our fear of Islam's aim to infiltrate the outside world with it's doctrine. I meant that their rejection of integration may lead to resentment and recriminations/violence from the outside world that would turn such enclaves into ghettoes.

Mr PF: I could write a book picking apart that first demographics video you linked to. Seriously within the first minute I had PARAGRAPHS of problems with it. Gosh that was poor. I can't be bothered enumerating them all but they got off to a shocking start with the tellingly elusive "According to research..."

Mind you I think Islam will become the world's dominant religion as Christianity is unraveling at a faster rate but I think religion will start to count for less and less so it's not going to mean much.

Which is exactly why I hid it. I'm a non-native English speaker, but I have a fair grip on the language. That doesn't hold for every member - including the one to whom you applied it.
