Indeed. I can't believe this is happening to tFC (even though I accidentally voted for it as it was the best for me).

Say "NO!" to new music and say "YES!" to pre-89 heroes!
I'm not so extremist, but you're not totally wrong...I think there are good exceptions after '89, too.
I agree. But the exceptions are very few.

Worst has to be intended as the less good of those bands (synonymous of worst I think, anyway). Not absolutely bad. There are things like GTR for this.

so you already consider all these albums as very bad ...

I won't vote because I don't know the PFM album (and I don't care for PFM post 76 anyway) and Magma( I don't listen to zeuhl).

I like a lot of the albums you mentioned there - Camel's, Jethro Tull's (Under Wraps is their weakest effort IMO),  King Crimson's especially. I like Love Beach in small dozes (I rarely listen to it but I enjoy it more than The Works, both of them that is and anything they released in the 80s - ELPowell and the two 90s albums they did). The only problem I have with Abacab is Whodunnit but that song is a bad joke anyway. As for Big Generator from Yes, I like it a lot, I consider it better than Union and Open your Eyes which i find to be Yes's least inspired works.

OMG!!!

Maybe you don't know that Who Dunnit has been billed by 100% of critics and Genesis' fans as the worst Genesis' song ever... and in fact it is.

So what? He and I like it. Stuff the critics.

I don't mind Abacab either. I actually really like Abacab, Me and Sarah Jane, and Dodo. (love Dodo, actually).

Who Dunnit? is just a crappy filler song, and I'm sure was more comical than serious when they were writing it. A lot of the music is much more pop than prog, but those three aforementioned songs are great crossovers. Thumbs Up

On the other way, luckily Dodo is an excellent composition, as much as Me & Sarah Jane, two very beautiful songs.

St Anger is not here because I don't consider Metallica so important to be in this list of bands, otherwise GTR could have been a good candidate. I can think to a lot of things worse than the albums in the list. Also Love Beach is better than GTR imo.

^^^ true, theres always someone who loves an album even Love Beach. You cant helpo that altho the majority would not like this or Final Cut as they are bad choices from good bands sold into churning out an album to appease a label or their own inflated egos such as Waters.

St Anger should be on that list too

Dot Com should not be there nor should Big Generator

The meaning is "worst by band", not "bad at all". I love The Final Cut but it's considered the worst PF album so it's in the list.
Personally I consider The Single Factor a poor album, but I still listen to it sometimes.

Personally I don't think Abacab is a bad album. Maybe not to everybody's taste, but there are no bad songs on the album. It's not one of my favourite albums, but that's something else.

Big Generator has some good songs, and some weaker songs, but I wouldn't call it a bad album.

Single Factor: a bit too poppy to my taste, except for a few great songs like "Heart's Desire" / "End Peace", but once again, not a bad album.

Haven't heard the other albums.
