Not that it's all that important, but some ass-hat named spellHYPOCRISY is spouting off nonsense about Libertarians on this YouTube page in the comments. I figured if any of my fellows here have accounts for that site, they would enjoy laying into him. Wink

Lol just reading the most recent comment by him is comedic gold. No point in arguing with someone like him.

^ The depressing thing is that many people apparently agree with him, if his thumbs-up ratings are to be believed. Maybe they are all accounts created by him.

No point in arguing with any one anyway.  Agree to disagree without being disagreeable is an art form.  Some people are hacks.

I've seen that episode.

I LOVE Penn & Teller

Hilarious, trolls, keep it real, and while they are biased beyond all hell they admit it, and I think give some of the fairest points/episodes of anyone.

And politics aside they are funny, and speak the truth.

^ Yeah, well, enjoy the last eight years of it, because the show is no more. Unfortunately.

I would suggest to buy the shows in DVD in order to enjoy any you might have missed, but the seventh season DVD was censored without P&T's permission, so it wouldn't even be worth it. LOL I suspect that was one of the reasons the show ended, ultimately.

Wouldn't be surprised.
Talk about sticking to your ideals! I could totally see them wanting out of the show, simply due to the censorship.
Now that I am, slowly, gaining money I plan to buy them on DVD for sure.

Just take heed to what I said. The seventh season isn't worth buying, since a substantial amount of the content has been omitted. Wink The other sets, as far as I know, are untouched.

I guess I must be lying then, huh? Ermm

On one of his latest PennPoints, Penn speaks about the show in the past-tense. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RD8zED7NEMo

In a recent written interview, Teller says they are planning on doing a new show on Discovery channel.

^Just replace the asterisk with an ''i'' when pasting the address in your browser. The forum censors are too mighty.

The WikiPedia page for the show clearly references a direct quote from Penn himself.
(Again, can't post the link due to the profanity in the title, but the page is easy to find)

Apparently my searching abilities trump yours.

I have a been away for a few days on account of my sister's wedding, but I want to comment on the "entitled student" phenomenon.
When I was getting myt undergrad, I never skipped class, I studied hard for every test, and I repeatedly saw people skip out on doing any work for trivial reasons, only to have the professors offer them unlimited chances to pass the class anyway. It drove me crazy. I remember my first year Russian midterm only had about 50% attendance and the professor was said "Well, now I'm going to offer so many make up exams." Shocked, I suggested he just give them all zeroes. He looked at me like I had lost my mind and said "But then half the class would fail!"

I'm glad there's at least one teacher (Shields) who enforces the rules. It's unfair to the people who actually do the work to do otherwise.

I can't tell you how many classes I had where teachers / professors offered a virtually limitless supply of "extra credit" opportunities.  Inane things too, like word searches.

In my electromechanical dynamics class in undergrad there were 5 students in the class.  First exam we get back, the professor says, "Well since there are 5 of you, the grade distribution is straightforward.  A, B, C, D, F."
