Save for Mari Makinami, the Rebuild series has been quite excellent so far.  The battles with Ramiel and Zeruel were sooooo epic.

I liked that.  I'd much rather have Shinji pair with Rei than Asuka.  Am I the only one who was extremely frustrated when Rei blew herself up right when she realized she loved Shinji in Ep. 23?  I hate to sound like a crazy fangirl who obsesses over anime relationships, but FUUUUUUUUUUUU-
