Zappa's influence was never widespread!

And f**k ABBA.

There, I said it.

LOL

He did influence a lot of musicians though, June and even when I was 12 or 13, I'd heard of him.  I wasn't even into prog or music much then.  I couldn't name a tune by him back then, obviously but he certainly wasn't unknown.

And yes, ABBA annoy me as well.

WIDESPREAD!!!

All metal and no folk makes June an angry girl.

I had no idea who ABBA were until the Mama Mia play or movie were released.  I remember hearing about how they were offered millions of dollars to reunite for 1 gig and they refused.  I had no idea why anyone would offer them money to reunite.  After Mama Mia came out I became aware of those couple of songs that they were famous for, and admittedly I still wondered why anyone would pay them to reunite. LOL

Oh, that's the point I'd forgotten to add.

ABBA: a few famous songs.
The Beatles: a few famous whole, complete, albums.

I was promised "folk metal" with Orphaned Land. I heard the metal. I did not hear the folk.

Korpoklaani fulfilled the promise better.
