One thing I have learnt is that happiness is quite often a bad thing. I'm not suggesting sadness is good, of course. I'm just saying that you cannot be perpetually happy. There's reasons for sadness and even depression. I think everyone needs to be depressed once in their life in order to learn things about themselves. It's not nice being depressed and/or sad but it's an actuality.

Even if I had nieces/nephews, I suspect I'd still not get to borrow them. It's the story of my life.
The thing is, I'm good with children and I'd make a good job of being a father. In fact, being a father might actually kick me into action at being a decent human being.
