Far not so bad. Better than many of PF solo albums for sure. Possibly, better than some Gilmour's PF works

Not a total piece of crap in my estimation, but it is an unpleasant listen. Good production and good lyrics - Waters clearly had more to say after The Wall, but it reeks of being a psychotherapy session. My least favorite PF album ever.

Damn site better than the so called Floyd that Followed . Division Bell Yawn , .
At least Roger has something to say and says it very well, unlike Mr Gilmour who has to get his Mrs to write the Lyrics for him.

Sheesh, you do keep coming up with stupid comparisons based on nothing... I don't think I can take you seriously anymore either.

Roger's lyrics tend to be critical towards society. And how could you blame him for expressing his views through music? You might not agree with them, but that's not something to hate him for, is it?
That's something else than spamming every related thread on PA with the same whiny meaningless message x100 though.

No, it' isn't. At least I'm fair with my 'whiny' message, while Waters' whiny message about evil dictators is mere hypocrisy as he's an evil dictator himself.

As far as I know not over half of Roger's lyrics mention evil dictators.

I agreed with Anthony when I first got the album— it was terribly disappointing, coming after 'The Wall.' Ten or fifteen years later, I began to appreciate it: Listen with headphones and think of it as a Broadway musical, rather than a rock music album. Then you can appreciate what's going on. Great Pink Floyd album??? Heck, no. But pretty interesting and well-done something of a different sort.

Agreed. Yes it's heavy on the lyrics and light on melody but man Roger can write a song.So much emotion on this album.

It has grown on me a lot, not one of my fave Floyd albums but still a good one that I prefer over The Wall nowadays.
The Final Cut it is, and definitely not the The Final Crap.
