Throw a vote up there for "Contagion".

Well, even if those were all ranked more highly, and you disagree with the album placement, one couldn't have all of those in the list.  Cynic and Mastodon are both in the Tech/ Extreme category, and the list only includes the top ranked album from each "subgenre".

A first vote for Dark Shot (One Shot) from me.

Birds and Buildings and Stati would be very close up behind.

as usual Blackwater Park, followed by K.A. and The Future Kings Of England.

I would also have liked to vote for One Shot but I don't have that particular album.

Even though Camere Zimmer Rooms was  released this millenium, I would discount it as it is a compilation of tracks recorder decades earlier (I prefer PdP's debut and Abbiamo..., but still do like Camere... considerably). As for another classic band, I didn't enjoy Stati... and am surprised at the amount of praise it gets -- to each his or her own.  Dark Shot is great. Present's Barbaro /Ma Non Troppo is good (prefer live versions), but I definitely prefer Univers Zero's Clivages. Bantam to Behemoth is good.  K.A. is excellent. The clear winner for me of these that I know is Magma's K.A

I know. I used to check the news too, I´ve joked only. So, they say, the damage wasn´t too severe as seems it. Probably any oil-phagous bacteria had liquidated this oil slick...
