And as for the tattoos thing . . . I don't know if I would ever get one for myself, but if a girl is attractive anyway, tattoos can be sexy, as far as I'm concerned.

^ Yeah, see, things like that and the girl I posted . . . that's when I think any reasonably-educated person would have to draw the line for themselves, and if the poor choice of tattoo placement was any indicator of the other person's state of mind, I wouldn't blame anyone for walking the other direction as fast as possible.

But an arm tattoo or a back tattoo have never bothered me.

I have nothing against tattoos.  I just do not find them attractive on women, that's all.

Because it's brilliant?  I can understand why Evangelion has its detractors, but if it clicks with you, it's hard not to get obsessed.  In fact, my recent anime binge recently has essentially been a quest to find something that could possibly top it.  So far, the only thing that's come close is Serial Experiments Lain.  That's not to say that I haven't been brought hours of enjoyment.
