Like almost anything, moderation is key.  Used occasionally most people will have little or no hit points removed.  Used constantly is not harmless in my opinion, at least not based on the people I've seen use it in that fashion.  We probably all know some people who use excessively and aside from the lung damage possible, it has the potential to alter motivation and sharpness I believe.  Not saying everyone is the same in this respect, but I do think it can be a factor in wrecking some people if abused.

Should it be legal?  Of course.  The resources squandered in this effort are obscene.  Making it legal will give the coppers more time to chase the real a****les and bust their heads open (hopefully)Wink

I KNOW DRUGS DID GOOD ACTUALLY  VERY GOOD IN THE CREATIVITY OF THE TYPE WE ALL LOVE,  BUT I AM AGAINST DRUGS ALL TYPE OF DRUGS. I Don't why but I am. I guess maybe I have been so afraid to get hook into them.

Why?

It's a much safer mood altering substance than ethanol.

It's certainly not worth risking your career over (the situation for many of us who aren't self-employed), but I see no problem with legalization. (Might be a nice revenue stream for the gubment, lord knows they need more money.) Tongue
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Well... I think we see this too much from the US and Europe point of view, but you know that in Latin America and maybe in half of the World, to be "legalized" something do not offer any change at all. I know many druggers, and even if "only" abuse of weed they do not have any more neurons and they became into just a gang of stupid trippy people. Sorry, I know I could say that moderation is the key, but when kids start trying that at 12 or 13, there's no moderation at all and they consume their lives on an addiction. Our world is no horrible, and weed do not make things better... just worse...

THC doesn't kill your neurons, it only makes them work slower...maybe the problem isn't these stupid trippy people..it's your perception of them...and I've never EVER saw anyone becoming addicted to weed.
Anyway, I don't wanna get in any kind of debate, just wanted to give out my point of view. Peace.

Meth, the redneck drug!

I remember when I first heard of it...it was described as "This drug that all the kids in Alabama do"

Sheesh people...stick with the natural stuff!
I mean marijuana grows naturally on the Earth

So it's illegal why? If it's there God can't really care can he? Wink

Are you still in high school?  Because I'd be shocked if you haven't reached the age where you realise that many completely functional and normal people are smoking pot AND being fine in life.  The same as theres people who are successful and go out and drink on the weekends.
Which of you to gain me, tell, will risk uncertain pains of hell?
I will not forgive you if you will not take the chance.

No amount of sense you try to talk into him will ever change his narrow, narrow mind.

Yes and No.  Can I say that?  No.  I do think it makes a mess of people.  Not everybody who takes (smokes) it but some people either cos they have problems in the first place or cos they smoke too much too often.  But, it would be better to take it out of the criminal world and stop it being a gateway drug to people who otherwise would just smoke a bit and then stop there.

I guess it causes less problems than alcohol mind.
Help me I'm falling!

Funny... I'm 25 years old and I have several friends who try weed once in a while and everything is fresh, but I know alot more that abuse of it and yes, they do not have a life, they only live and work to buy it... and yes, it's adictive, you can say is because they like it but they HAVE, they NEED to be smoking that cr*p all day, and yes, I can't have a cleaver conversation with them... yes, their minds have lost many of the regular working and the get into abuse.

Sorry if I'm not hipocrit and say "yeah, everything is cool and there's no problem". Of course there's a problem, don't mind -I tell you- if someone want to waste his life on it, but sure it destroys life man... and I have seen it plenty of times now...

Marijuana is not physically addictive. It has the potential to be mentally addictive, just as anything that makes you happy does. Ever really get a craving for chocolate? Giving in to eating chocolate is the same thing with different side effects. Neither have physical addictions. Coffee, however, has a physically addictive substance in it. No one's banning coffee or chocolate, and marijuana should be no different.

Read up on it and maybe even "study" it yourself, but only weak-willed people who have no ambition or motive to do anything anyway let the comfort of pot ruin their lives.
