My favorite is when Homer decides to stop going to church, and he's got the house to himself on Sunday morning...as he's relaxing he says "everyone is stupid except me."
And c'mon, there's no way the Simpson family is Catholic, the Reverend Lovejoy/whatever church they go to is some generic amalgamation of Protestant churches.

I was also oddly persuaded by his justification for stealing a billion dollars from the U.S. Government, although I can't remember it off the top of my head. Something about the feds wasting the money on schools and "do-nothing nuclear warheads."
