Topic: A vs. B vs. W vs.H Posted: October 19 2010 at 04:53 |
Inspired by the poll 'Anderson vs. Anderson" another funny idea came to my mind. Please vote for your favourite (doesn't matter when born), considering his solo career.

Brufford. He not only steered clear from much of the drama involving yes, but has an almost impecable Curriculum Vitae / discography.

Wakeman haz gods. Lotz of tehm.
...Internet speak apart, I really like Wakeman's solo career, over the rest's, so my vote goes for him.

Billy boy surely beats the rest, and his associations with his other bands (Genesis, King Crimson, UK, Bruford/Moraz) were outstanding compared to the others projects (IMHO). He's in the top 3 drummers I have ever seen in my life. 1 - Buddy Rich 2 - Carl Palmer 3 - Bill Bruford

Even though his hideous drum sounds are the biggest flaw of the ABWH album, overall I like Bill the most.

Jon Anderson because of his fabulous compositions and original style of lyric writing, but I like the others as well.

Certainty of the year, Joel I agree. The genius of Olias, Animation, Toltec, and Change We Must eclipses all of the others best solo stuff.

This has been done before with similar results I think. Personally, I would take Alan White over Bruford any day. Bruford is too jazzy for my taste. Steve and Rick are my favourite Yes members.

Bruford, for sure. One of my favorite drummers, behind Vinnie Colaiuta.

Bruford. I'd like to see him lay down some music with Fripp again.

As a guitar player, I have to vote . . .

Bruford without a doubt.
I agree with a previous statement. On ABWH the only flaw was the electronic drum sound, could have used a little more variation in that departement (still great album BTW, or like Bruford put it, ABWH could have gone somewhere if only they had given it more time)
