Kavus just disappointed me by telling me not to hold my breath in relation to a new Guapo album.

Sad times.

Well I stopped listening to Rush to listen to some SC3 but I had just started Cygnus X-1 which is awesome, so I needed to finish that.

I'm waiting for a new Koenjihyakkei - it's been five years already!  He's touring with them soon, hopefully that will mean new album before too long.

OK I'll listen to SC3 more later.  Matt, check their myspace, you can listen to almost 4 albums.  Time to finish A Farewell to Kings

This the best band nobody has ever heard of.  I'd say they were my band of the naughties (well, Daniel O'Sullivan-era albums anyhow).

Neither do I, but I've liked what I've heard of SC3 so far more.

But I don't think you've ever listened to SC3 since you were sure they're a Psych/Space band when in reality they're a Mr. Bungle offshoot who plays some sort of techno/metal/ethnic/avant/bizarre mixture.

I've just realised I can hear the Black Oni theme on Jeweled Turtle.  It is part 3 of the Triptych after all, so it'd make sense to sort of make parts of it reminiscent of the previous two albums.

It's just there's a few lesser tracks in the middle of the album, from what I can remember.  Maybe it'll hit me more this time.

yeah, one weak track in the middle, the rest is splendid

at times it almost sounds like Espers playing zeuhl.

I'll listen to it eventually, now I've been distracted by SC3 albums available to listen to on myspace.
