My father actually introduced me to progressive rock, actually. Nowadays I think that I listen to more things than he does, but Pink Floyd still one of my all time favorites because of him. My first good memory as a person is listening to Wish You Where Here followed by some album by Louis Armstrong. I can't help myself when listening to WYWH, it gets me every time. *wipes tear*

oddly enough, the same thing happened with me and Gentle Giant.  When i listened to Funny Ways, I was positive I had heard that song before somewhere but had no idea where it could have been.  Radio, maybe?

That is why some people do not consider PF prog: they are too known to be prog.

Probably because funny ways is one of the few songs by them that are listenable enough to have some radio play?LOL
