And yeah, wtf.  It's not very good.
It's just an analyzation of Obama's 2004 DNC speech and I need some cites from my Communications textbook on terms. I could easily knock it out in 2 hours, but I only have one despite the huge latenes because I am a drooling idiot.

Also, story: this morning I was on campus at 6:30am because I left early to beat the traffic since I was up anyway, desperately attempting to get Circuits to make sense. I have a tendency to Patton-esque scream when I am alone. So I had forgotten this faculty guy was in his office down the hall and I went to the bathroom, and it's such a nice resonant space I do my AHHHG GURGUHGRGUH EEEEEEE for about 30 seconds while I'm going, and as I walk out he comes right up to me and says "Am I going to have to call the police?" You could have asked me nicely, f**ker, I know it's not normal but I only disrupted you for 30 seconds.

She drops the lowest 2 quizzes, but I got a 50% on the second one and we have 4 more left, so I'd rather have to wait to do that again...

Finance is evil.

They are? Is there a thread somewhere that shows it's getting a lot of praise?

^ you can actualy hear Phil's influence in Branns drumming and drum sound, Brann's famous snare drum work, are image reflections of Phil's rapid snare fills/rollsWink

Phil Collins learnd he's fils from Dr Phil Sleepy

Matt Cameron of Soundgarden (and Pearl Jam) is said to never been to much of a rock fan as a kid, he was heavely into Jazz and progressive rock and playd only that until he was 15 and then discovered Kizz and other hard rock, Zeppelin and Sabbath,

^ nah thats probably right, but ive heard Danny mention Lenny White (a jazz drummer)  as one of he's influences, and Brann often mention Innervisions (by Stevie Wonder) and the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (Phil Collins (a jazz drummer) probably heard of him Tongue ) as he's two major influences as a kid when he practised drums. he said he learnd every track from those two albums and playd them over and over and over...

I'd think the only ones that are really close are bands like STP and Alice in Chains, who are both probably my two favorite bands not on PA.

You might be right about Mastodon, they do kinda get sort of the grungy stoner stuff from 90's era pseudo-metal bands.
Dunno about Brann Dailor or Danny Carey having a background in jazz, though.

since many of the bands on your list are bands that are similar to Soundgarden, I think actualy Mastodon owe something to Soundgarden. (the sludgy, grungy, but also the jazzy drum work)

what i like about Soudngarden is how complex they actuay are (espessialy on albums like Badmotorfinger and Superunknown) they are on a very high standard technicaly, and each member deliver topp notch on their instruments

one thing that make there songwriting stand out in my opinion is that they can vary in mood, both gruff, funky, crunchy, sludgy, light, fast, and other elements

and they have one of the most underrated drummers Matt Cameron whom to me is not far behind Gavin Harrison in presission and groove, Matt have a bit similar style  like Gavin Harrison, Brann  Dailor and Danny Carey, in that they all incorporate jazz and prog elements in their drumming (all have jazz background)

Nope! I just kept writing and writing and writing and somehow that got me a 65, which is not an F! So that's something! Although I'm afraid that the time I have left for Chemistry is going to produce a similar result. :(

I f*cking hate chemistry.  We just had a quiz today on enthalpy that I'm pretty sure I failed.  As soon as I finish 103 and 104 next semester I'm going straight to physics and never taking chem ever again.

Hey aginor,

Soundgarder have a few good songs but overall I'm not a fan of them, nor any Chris Cornell project really.  I think Alice and Chains were a far better grunge band.
