Oh, I guess that is why I missed it, I can't even remember the last time I was able to watch the news. LOL

That is a long time to live in a mine, collapsed or not. LOL

Obama is related to Palin and Limbaugh.  That is pretty funny.  http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101013/ap_on_re_us/us_obama_and_palin

Adam Wakeman (born March 11, 1974 in Windsor, England) is the current keyboardist for the legendary rock band Black Sabbath. Shocked  I had no idea.

His daddy played keyboards for Black Sabbath on their Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album, so Adam "followed" him into Black Sabbath and Oliver followed him into Yes.

I wonder if he started a band called No in his rebellious teen years.

I know, I learned about like a couple hours ago. I probably should check news sites every now and then but I just don't care enough to do it. LOL

Hey aginor,

Soundgarder have a few good songs but overall I'm not a fan of them, nor any Chris Cornell project really.  I think Alice and Chains were a far better grunge band.

Nope! I just kept writing and writing and writing and somehow that got me a 65, which is not an F! So that's something! Although I'm afraid that the time I have left for Chemistry is going to produce a similar result. :(

I f*cking hate chemistry.  We just had a quiz today on enthalpy that I'm pretty sure I failed.  As soon as I finish 103 and 104 next semester I'm going straight to physics and never taking chem ever again.

since many of the bands on your list are bands that are similar to Soundgarden, I think actualy Mastodon owe something to Soundgarden. (the sludgy, grungy, but also the jazzy drum work)

what i like about Soudngarden is how complex they actuay are (espessialy on albums like Badmotorfinger and Superunknown) they are on a very high standard technicaly, and each member deliver topp notch on their instruments

one thing that make there songwriting stand out in my opinion is that they can vary in mood, both gruff, funky, crunchy, sludgy, light, fast, and other elements

and they have one of the most underrated drummers Matt Cameron whom to me is not far behind Gavin Harrison in presission and groove, Matt have a bit similar style  like Gavin Harrison, Brann  Dailor and Danny Carey, in that they all incorporate jazz and prog elements in their drumming (all have jazz background)
