I got an email from Jeff Brockman some minutes ago with these sad news.

Please have a look at http://www.brettstranne.com/ and send positive thoughts and prayers about Brett and his family. Donations can also be made on the website above. There is also a news blog there with the latest - hopefully good news !!! - updates on Brett's situation.

I hope that we can bring a Cairo interview later this year. But at the moment, Cairo very understandable have other priorities.

I will update you on the ongoing developments.

Brett Stranne=Brett Douglas?
Oh man I'm sorry really to hear that. Already eight years wating for the news from this band.... but this is the worst I can imagine.
Amazing singer of a very underrated band. Check out Cairo whose you don't know them - you'll be probably pleasantly surprised by the music, and skills. A wonderful mixture of Yes, ELP, Boston and Dream Theater  elements, executed in exciting and andventurous way . Like also Brett's stuff on the cover of South Side of the Sky and on Explorer's Club's Age of Impact album.

Keep updating please!

I loved their first 2 albums, and some of their thrid one. This guy is a very gifted vocalist.
After Ari Up's death, another sad news.
"Magma was the very first gothic rock band" (Didier Lockwood)
