there`s no need for ranting. and of course i`ll submit.

The world was always ruled by actors and pop music.  There is also no reason to disregard the legitimacy of pop music as an art form.  One of the most intolerable attitudes prog fans tend to adopt.

did i type the word `POP`?! of course if we consider the original definition of pop music which separates it from classical music, then, rock and all of its branches fall in in the category of pop music as well. so, i did`nt mean pop music but GARBAGE material which is unfortunately called music today.
please read my posts carefully then reply my friend.
thx.

of course not, but if i am, it`s still better than being unable to discuss in a gentle, intellectual and logical way! weakness is the opening gate to aggressiveness and rude...

`PF, slow blues songs, funney noises`...!!! this can be the funniest thing that has ever been said about the band. for the one who said it, i hope he consider a serious revision of `MUSIC` definition for himself.

I make sure to be as ignorant as possible about Pink Floyd not only on these forums, but everywhere I go. A man will ask me what my favorite track off of "Dark Side of the Moon" is and I respond "What about me makes you think I listen to the f**king Eagles?!"
Heaven's made a cesspool of us all.

As I don't like The Eagles music I don't get the connection.

Someone please edit Pink Floyd's bio to begin "Generally agreed to be the worst band of all time" so we can see this guy's reaction.

i`m so sorry that i see such unintellectual, amateur persons in this great website which should serve as an educational site. i don`t know how the moderators and site admins assess people like this to rich for upper levels. the first thing that someone MUST have to be acceptable for a basic assessment is POLITE and ETHICS. these kind of people are better for war battle or even less rather than being in a cultural and educational website and spoil everything with their aggressive manner.
it`s a unforgivable disaster...

OK, everybody take it easy on the new guy.

Very happy to have you on the site Sohrab, and we are always open to suggestions, but you have to realize your opening post comes on kind of strong and is going to provoke some kidding from our veteran site members.

These are all good guys and they are just kidding with you, so everybody just chill.

Thanks John.
in fact my first post was just a suggestion to improve the structure of the site as it`s almost 3 years that i read everything on PA and refer to it many times but just 2 days that i decided to take a share! so i`m sorry for any convenience which is happened but indeed, i did not expect such reactions! i hope that `kidding` does not result in `rudeness`.

Thx again man!

I have to say that you make me want to be rude to you. But maybe thats because of your English. If you stop saying that the Floyd Biography is useless it might help. And edit your thread title to stop calling PA ignorant would be good.

I believe one reason for this was in the early days of PA,being authors having a self-imposed word-length - maybe the intention was for  biographies to be completely on screen when you dial into a specific artist or band name - i.e. not requiring scrolling? Something I was happily forced to ignore when writing biogs of jazz rock fusion artists on long standing colourful careers and large discographies. Bands I care about will get updates and other expansions from time to time. I wonder if this is true with all long term listings here?

In the interests of harmony, I've taken the liberty of amending the thread title. Hope you're OK with that Sohraab.Big smile

Dick makes a good point above. Also, there were a large number of bands who were added in short time when the site was created. Inevitably, things would be kept brief then or the site would never have got off the ground. This is though an ever developing place, nothing is cast in stone (except biographies by a couple of our SCsWink)

I'll tell you what, you're a cheeky bugger and I'm certainly not warming to you. Don't understand why Admin is leaping to defend you all the time.
