If you relate to not-being-wrong as to be totally dedicated to prog without any declinations towards the "more pop" scene, then Mekong Delta is a decent candidate.
Sometimes I think, though, that they first say "OK, let's do it, but do it PROG" and then they make it. I guess one has to be a genius to write such a music in a state of flow, rather than on purpose.

I so wished we'd see Fripp, Belew and Levin (with Mastelotto) record again, because I love the three '80s albums as much as the Fripp/Wetton/Cross/Bruford records, but I guess it's not meant to be.

That line up and also the 80's crimson but you couldn't say that of Crimson overall

Agreed. I like the album, and can listen to it all the way through, but, the big radio hit Vicarious has just really laughable subject matter to it. Right in Two is cool, but lyrically falls flat and feels lacking. The seg tracks feel unnescisary on this one as well. Hopefully Tool gets it together a little better on the next one, I mean, they've had five years

Tool, more than a band to me. Sad as it is to admit, its more my religion I wish I could say that I love everything that Danny Carey plays drums on, but I've never been to fond o Pigmey Love Circus...

There's surely a long list... but well it's easier to do no wrong ...when you just do 3 albums... it's much more difficult when you cross decades with many albums in each decades...i mean the 80s were not that good for most bands...so in theory it's easier to split your band for exemple in 1981 and just reform 10-12 years later...
There's the Moody Blues 7 first albums (7th Sky !) why not...but there's many more...
It's not very original to say Led Zepellin...but it's quite true...the problem it's their last official one "In through the out door" (1979) ...who is really really far of bein' one of the best album of 1979(and there's a lot of people with this opinion) ...in 10 years time ...it will surely not be in my top 50 records of 1979...
Even Camel record of that year (not their best) is far better...and even Bryan Adams ...no hehe i was jokin' there...... uhmmm no seriously...basically it was a joke but now i realize...really i've got to check Adams '79 lp... it's not impossible to be less bad than the Zep one... who knows...... and even Aerosmith over-druggy-not-that-good 79 lp beat the fat gaz balloon...but who threw the matchstick ?
