But by the time we'd have the technology to travel such distances, we'd also undoubtedly have the technology to cryogenically freeze people, so you wouldn't notice the time passing anyway.

Not sure, it's still being discussed in the most recent papers I could find dealing with unknown planets in the system (specifically from 2009, at least). The system around the star has a habitable zone from 1-2 AU, so it's possible!
