I watch more hockey than any other sport (aka, I watch at least one game per year) and that one game is always the Pens. Go Pens!

Go Leafs Go!! Go Leafs Go!! I won't be watching their first game as I'm going to my sister's high school graduation, but I'm looking forward to some Hockey Night In Canada on Saturday.

Let's go RED WINGS!!!! Let's go!!!! Hopefully, the Wings additions plus the Black Hawks subtractions works to the Wings advantage this year.

I hope the habs don't even make the playoffs this year.
I went to the game last Thursday and they,re playing like Kraft Dinner. I was born in Montréal and have lived here most of my life and lived through the glory years of the 70s when they won 4 cups in a row ( '76 - 79 ) they also won the cup in '71 & 73. As far as I'm concerned the spirit of they game has all but disappeared and it's all about money and marketing. Back in the '50s during the off season The Rocket had to tie fishing flies and sell them in order to support his family and he got in sh*t from management for doing this( he even scored 50 goals in 50 games once). Now we have guys making millions who look like they shouldn't even be playing on the farm team.
Another thing that irks me is that all this stupid memorabilia that is being peddled everywhere you look in the city. I even saw a Montréal Canadiens toilet seat. But I guess that's appropriate. And this crap ain't cheap either. I think the toilet seat was going for $ 50.

^ Yeah, the marketing thing is pretty true. But that's the case for just about every team.
I do think that the Wings are in for a great year, but then again they've consistently had great years.

Yeah you can't go anywhere in the Toronto area without seeing a Leafs logo slapped on some random object. Every Canadian team probably has that problem. Does anybody actually plan on going to a game soon? Can't afford that privilege myself as tickets are damn hard to come by, and watching from home has all the comforts I'd need anyways. My best bet would be to either head to Ottawa or Buffalo to watch a game, but first I need a job.

I wouldn't wish for a triple digit championship drought on any team, but I know of plenty of people that would wish it on Toronto.

I'd love to go to another hockey game. The last (and only) one I went to was a Leafs/Kings game at the Maple Leaf Gardens in 1996. I think the score was 5-2 Kings, but their team was certainly lacking star power. They had Rob Blake, but that was about it. I'll plunk down the money to see the Leafs again, but I need to actually make some money first. Good thing I'm into several sports, so I have some more affordable alternatives in the meanwhile.

I need to go to another Thrashers game...they're actually doing alright (9 points as of now). I love hockey games, the atmosphere is amazing.

Would you like some Bailey's?

The Wings lost 3 to 2 last night. It was still a pretty good game. They fell behind 3 to 0 in the first period and then spent the rest of the game playing desperate catch-up. Probably made it a better game to watch than one where they are sitting on a lead and playing not to lose.
