The way things are going, it is indeed quite possible.

Diamondbacks vs. the Buccos. There had to be about 3,000 people in the stands for this series.

Torre says goodbye to the Dodgers. Class act. I feel sorry for Mattingly.

How could a franchise allow Manny to act/play the way he does. His productive years are behind him. No more help from the roids for him. It's amazing that the man's ego can fit in a ballpark.

^ The only problem LA had with Manny was the 50 game suspension.  He did what he did for the two years and helped the Dodgers to two LCS and right now would be our leading hitter for average.  Manny is not the problem  Frank and Jamie McLoan are the only problems in Dodgerland.

It was a good think I didn't have any heavy objects to throw at my TV in the 9th inning of last night's Tigers - Chisox game.  It doesn't mean anything to the Tigers but their bullpen which was so strong in the first half has been absolutely atrocious in the 2nd half.  Phil Coke was in instead of Valverde who has a sore elbow, and he managed to give up 4 runs, with the help of Robbie Weinhart who followed.  The White Sox ended the inning with the bases loaded.  Then in the 11th the Tigers scored 2 runs with the help of a two-out strike out from Brandon Inge, who ended up on 3rd base with a wild pitch and a wild throw to first base.  But the Tigers not being content to just win the game 9-7, decided to load the bases in the bottom of the 11th before finally getting Manny to strike out to end the game.

As craptacular as the Buccos season has been it did my heart some good to see them take 2 of 3 from the Cardinals. Some hope was seen in the first two games. Get some pitching and this team might make some noise in the coming seasons.

Hopefully he is able to stay healthier than Zumaya has been able to do.  Zumaya is a beast on the mound when he is healthy.

I'm happy for them. Now Votto better win the MVP, or I'll be pissed.

And being investigated by the Health department for smoking cigars in the clubhouse. Don't they know that there is no indoor smoking in Ohio?

Glad the Reds did it. I am a little sick of hearing about Cardinal Nation.

And I'm a fan LOL
Pretty sure I've gone into the whole debate before so I shall restrain myself.

However, Girardi's resting of a lot of players I will get into. I know momentum is not as critical in baseball but still, going into the playoffs and a bit of a slide there...

From the StL Post Dispatch today.

Only three games remain for the Cardinals season and those will feature Jake Westbrook as he looks for his next contract, Kyle Lohse as he looks for his comeback and Jeff Suppan as he looks for work.

At least they are being honest about it.
