Yeah it's a shame the way things worked out for him. F'ing London Fletcher.

Ohhhhhhhh, an Eagles fan, sad.  How could a Philly sports fan ever criticize another town's fans?  Philly "fans" only show up to drink, boo,and start fights.  Don't worry about Vick though, JJ, he'll come crashing back down to earth as soon as he plays against a competent defense.

As for Plax: he should've taken his case to a higher court on the grounds that NY's handgun laws are unconstitutional.

We do? Marketing data would tend to suggest we do more than that. Keep watching Sportscenter and absorb their anti-Philly bias.

Anti-Philly bias?  They drooled all over McNabb's Eagles for 11 years.  Hell, if you dared criticize Donovan you were thrown off the network.  ESPN has many biases but anti-Philly is not one of them.  Their consistently positive coverage of the Eagles is probably what's kept Andy Reid in a job crushing defeat after crushing defeat.

Also, Philly belongs moreso in Jersey than PA.  Philly has nothing in common with the rest of PA.

Positive? It's a McNabb lovefest not a Philly one. The only thing they want to talk about with regards to Philly is how "badly" we treated McNabb and how disgraceful our fans supposedly are.

Don't even get me started on the Pats.

Yeah, I didn't know what that meant either.  Because we're not all farmers or something?  lol

Yeah, they were/are overprotective of McNabb and they may take it out on the "fans" (you guys have booed Santa Claus and cheered for career ending injuries over the years, though, so you kinda made your own beds there) but they certainly aren't anti-Philly.  The Eagles, whether they deserve it or not, are always one of ESPN's favorites to cover and as soon as they win a game or two are held up as SUper Bowl favorites by the network.
And I don't think you could ever say their baseball coverage is anywhere near anti-Philly, but that's for another thread I suppose.

Philadelphia, New Jersey just has such a nice ring to it.  It's right across the water, just take it Jersey.  You can have it, and Rendell, and the Eagles, and the Flyers, and Arlen, and PA's only pro-basketball team, and anything else you get along with it. LOL

You can only be so biased. It's impossible to deny the Phillies' talent now, but after the 2008 WS they were regarded as flukes because they only beat the Rays.

We booed Santa Clause because the guy showed up drunk. Fans were pissed off that a drunk was portraying Santa Clause to their kids, not exactly a good roll model, so they booed. That part of the story is never reported.

Same thing with the cheering of season ending injuries. People cheered the hit. Once it was realized that something was seriously wrong, people shut up. That's not a sexy story though. People also forget to mention that Deon Sanders was dancing around like a moron while Irving was being attended to. People booed his disrespect. Go to and Eagles game and watch the reaction an opposing player gets when he is carted away due to injury. The fans show him a great amount of respect.

It would make more sense for the rest of the state to relocate and Philly to remain PA.

No, thank you Anton.
I'd be more then happy to let PA keep everything Philly, including Rendell. We got quite enough problems.

And psshhhht the Pats are from Philly/Suburban Philly and Anton is from the Steel City.
I lived in Pennsyltucky and spent great deals of time there (family). I'm the truest Pennsylvanian out of yall. Damn city slickers.

Something we all can indeed agree upon!

So uh....how about that alleged 18 game season? Thoughts? No one cares?

Oi, politics is enough I'm not even starting...

And also what is your beef with the Saints?

I don't like Sean Peyton. I hate Shockey. I dislike Bush. I don't like teams with bad defenses. They're an overrated team, which annoys me. I don't like how people thought they deserved to win games because New Orleans was hit by a hurricane. They also beat the McNabb-less Eagles in the Divisional Playoffs in 2006.

Katrina has nothing to do with the Saints success..its a feelgood story that happens to coincide with the Saints winning ways. Eq...you are too young to understand why folks like me are happy the Saints are winning.....there is a LONG history of not winning in New Orleans. I lived there for sometime, went to college there, my wife is a Cajun coon a$$.....The support for the Saints really never faultered during the late 70's and 80's. Their loosing history took backseat to Katrina, why? Cause it was a better story for the media.

If you don't like someone its usually because you know them personally, I seriously doubt you "know" Sean and Bush....so you hate them because they are good. Sean is mentioned by all in the NFL as brilliant coach/manager of NFL. what you lack is respect for those that are good in what they do. Bad defense?? 2009 for the Saints was all about their defense, just look at the numbers, they don't lie....You must have been watching a different NFL than the rest of the US last year Confused

Deserving to win and actually winning are black and white.....all teams deserve to win, the ones that do are the better teams by definition. I don't think there are different rules for the Saints when they play? The other teams don't just lay down when they play the Saints..you don't make any sense on this.

I am not a Detroit fan.....but damn its time for them to win....and why not? With all the auto industry problems Detroit also needs a feel good story and a reason to win....I guess you don't think that should happen either...right? Sports brings people together, whether you like it or not.

I am not a NY Yanks fan, that team has been purchased and you can even argue some of their World Series Championships have been bought.......But I do respect the fact that players like Jeter, A-roid, Rivera are excellent at what they do.

The Saints Defense actually reminded me a bit of my Giants. Some big name players of course, but a kind of "no name" defense that played better then the sum of its parts.
IMO what's not to like about that?

I just hope your Saints don't make the same mistake of keeping that D the same and not really freshening it up. Oh, and hope they don't lose the coach that kept them inspired Disapprove
