I thought 49ers came out and played the better game against the Saints also.
Obviously not...
The winner doesn't always play the better game.
That's for sure....*cough Giants cough* Not sure what your beef with the Saints are...but anyway, the better team wins man.
Unless they honestly get screwed. The Giants played better then the Titans no doubt. But they were sloppy as hell and mad a lot of stupid mistakes and penalties. Titans did not. It's about finding ways to win man. Better team wins, again unless you get screwed like the Lions did.
Been a couple years, about time for another Steelers' Super Bowl win
LOL not sure if you're serious...since Steelers fans I've known tend to be quite arrogant, even up there with Cowboys and Pats fan!
I will say this, you guys are lucky thus far. Those first 2 games the defense WAS the offense. Can't keep that up for 16 games, good thing they managed to pull it out until Ben is getting back.
Can't wait for tonight's. Should be a good game and I think the Pack is going to be one of the best in then NFL. Bears I'm not sold on yet... Mainly due to Cutler. I know being a gunslinger is something that sounds good to people, but not me. That makes me think of someone who always looks to throw, and looks deep instead of maybe taking something else. Mike Martz could give Cutler a great year on exemplify his problems.

The Giants didn't play better. Penalties and stupid mistakes are a part of the game.
The better team doesn't always win. The team that played better doesn't always win. For an absurd example, say a tornado comes through and knocks away the ball which would have been the winning touchdown pass. Not the team's fault. They played good enough to win, but they didn't. That actually pretty much happened a few years ago. Remember that wall of wind which knocked down a perfect game winning field goal in Chicago?
A ball batted at the line of scrimmage has x% chance of landing on the turf and 100-x% chance of landing within range of a D-Lineman. If 100% of batted passes in a game lame within range of a D-Lineman, the team hasn't played poorly, but may get a disproportionate amount of passes intercepted through pure luck.
Luck plays a major role in sports, you're a baseball fan you know it. We shouldn't deny it.
EDIT: Also, blown calls? Surely they can swing a game, and are beyond the control of the teams playing.

And also what is your beef with the Saints?
I don't like Sean Peyton. I hate Shockey. I dislike Bush. I don't like teams with bad defenses. They're an overrated team, which annoys me. I don't like how people thought they deserved to win games because New Orleans was hit by a hurricane. They also beat the McNabb-less Eagles in the Divisional Playoffs in 2006.

Well I hate Shockey as much as anyone... And Bush is over rated, to put it mildly....
LOL uh dude that Katrina stuff is old news. I think the feel good wore off after the next season. Especially when they turned out to not be good. They're defense is a bit porous but makes up for it with rushing the QB and turnovers. If they can't do that then yeah, they're boned. I think that playoff game is the root of it really Pat, be honest

Cowboys fans have nothing to be arrogant about these days and it's still sad that everyone seems to accept Dallas' self nickname and their fans certainly don't show up at opponents stadiums in the numbers ours do. I'm not sure that Patriots fans exist outside of New England and having to go down to the final play to win their Super Bowls despite the distinct advantage of CHEATING gives them no reason to be arrogant.
Oh, I was being serious and arrogant. But I wouldn't say luck has entered into it: the defense is that good when Polamalu and Aaron Smith are healthy.

It did, but it was annoying at the time. I hold grudges in sports.
The playoff game certainly didn't help, nor did the loss to them last season.

Ha! And yes, I do hate Shockey....at least he played for the Saints SB.... Unlike that ring he got for the Giants and missed the playoffs and sat in the BOX SEATS for the big game. Dick. Not to mention his complaining and slacking.....
Well Anton, those guys have no reason to be arrogant..but they are. The fans of those 2 teams are the worst. Though Steelers fans are a close #3.
It's good I kinda like the team otherwise Steelers fans would turn me off completely. And they admit it they're arrogant b*****ds, (at least). It may have not been luck, but still you should be glad the rapist will be back soon Steelers could not maintain this for 16 games.

Yes, are strength isn't everything...ahem...Flacco....cough cough
Romo is the most overrated QB in the league though. Peyton is up there but that's mostly because you'd get shouted down by any tv analyst if you didn't agree that he was God himself decended from heaven to play football. He is a great pocket QB on turf but he should never ever be in the discussion as far as "best ever" is concerned.

Hey, no charges brought. Had he just been caught on video in a bar fight maybe he wouldn't have been suspended at all. Hate to think there was a racial component to the suspension's length but I'm pretty sure GODell had making him an example of discipline diversity in his mind. Even if it wasn't the NFL needs to get rid of GODell and get someone who is consistent and doesn't want to get himslf in the headlines constantly. Whatever happened with Sean Payton's alleged drug theft and trafficing but the way? He was accused, isn't that good enough for 6 games off?

This is true Pat does hate everything. Well Flacco still can prove himself, Romo has already proven he's overrated. And I think the Colts are very overrated, as a team. They are unbalanced and simple. I mean hell, the tight ends are pretty much receivers, the backs never have to block, the O-line was pretty good but not as much now... It actually shows how good Peyton is that they are so good.

Nah I really never thought it was a serious charge honestly. Better then Vick....
yeah I used to like goodell, but I quickly realized he is indeed inconsistent. The Pats thing really pissed me off. That was at the height of his tough talk but Bellichek got basically nothing. For cheating. We know it, and that was cheating the game. After that I realized Goodell was weak... And yes GODell I get it you hate all authority sheesh...

Colts are definitely not overrated. Peyton is just that good honestly
