Queen is one of my favorite bands ever, although their eighties output became pretty patchy. Brian May is the reason I wanted to learn to play guitar and Freddy Mercury was a performer without equal. Queen II is one of the best albums ever.

How can I express how much I love this band?  Caught a lot of flak in my youth for being a Queen fan, actually...but the adoration won out.  Freddie is simply unparalleled, and Brian's guitar work leaves me drooling. Especially on Brighton Rock.

Shame about the Queen+Paul Rodgers album, though.  Ouch

This might be one of the greatest days in the post-Freddie Queen era.
If this is the real thing, there are really no words to describe it.

I literally can't believe what I'm hearing.  I've waited almost two decades to hear this song...very demotastic, but with some real flashes of brilliance.  I wonder what the story behind the leak is?  Needless to say Queen Productions will be slipping radioactive isotopes into someone's sushi.........

Hmmm...If I had to rate 'em, it would be

1. Queen II
2. A Night at the Opera
3. Sheer Heart Attack
4. Queen
5. News of the World

Nice, thanks for posting that.

A little Irish friend of ours actually mentioned that documentary on his radio show and I thought "damn, I don't have BBC!"

And Shocked, Roger smoking...

Shocked Shocked Shocked

Also, god: I'd forgotten how hot he was in the 70s. Heart

Also, I didn't know they shot that Top Of The Pops performance in the weather studio LOL

My favourite line of the documentary so far:

"MTV were very narrow-minded. Is was Whitesnake, and f**kING Whitesnake, and then another Whitesnake track!"

Queen's early material is no doubt my favorite. Queen II is such an incredible album and is still put on regular rotation in my car. Of course, they've made music through their career that I've enjoyed (even in the 80's when they mostly made corny synth pop music), and of course Innuendo at the very end of their career is another brilliant album.

Would you like some Bailey's?

Great band. Quite eclectic, especially on 'a night at the opera'.

Fans of Queen should rush on Valensia, as he is the best Freddie Mercury clone (and he also tries to sound like  Brian May on the guitar).
