I need to invest in more Canterbury.  I am woefully ignorant of much music.

That genre has been hugely hit or miss (more so than any other genre, I daresay).

If you say Egg is a miss I'm not going to talk to you anymore.

Egg isn't all they're cracked up to be.  I would never shell out the amount of money needed to buy one of their albums.  I guess I'm just chicken.   Um...yolk!

The only forays I've made into Canterbury that I can recall off the top of my head are Caravan, Gong, Steve Hillage, and The Soft Machine.

For your next foray get the two Hatfield studio albums.

Don't know when that will be...I spent my last bit of spending money on King Crimson and Outkast.

But I'll keep that in mind...if I only got one of the two, which would you recommend?

I've at least heard samples from all the main Canterbury bands and I've liked them all.

I like Outkast.  Tongue

I guess I'd take Outkast over every other hip hop group, but that doesn't say much.

I don't remember hearing Egg, but I've been pretty meh about most of the Canterbury I heard, although I haven't gotten around to listening to Rock Bottom yet even though I've owned it for over a year. Of Queues was intolerable.
