Topic: Best month of the year? Posted: September 13 2010 at 11:19 |
It of course depends on where you live.
I can't decide between September and February, but since September is now, it'll get my vote.
I love the September light, the clear sky and the first autumn-freshness in the air.

Between the pollen, humidity, hurricanes, ice storms, I pretty much hate them all. Probably November. Things around there are cooling off but temps aren't hitting the bottom range.

October wins handily in my book. Autumn leaves, a chill in the air, apple picking, Halloween (the best holiday except Christmas), Oktoberfest, just everything about the month is magnificent.

I don't suppose I have a favorite month. I like the variety of seasons, which is one reason we're going back to NC. Here in Florida, you get two seasons: wet and dry. Also, hot.

I guess when one goes away for a while they miss some details.

It's ok Pat, he only said it a week or two ago and he's not moving until November.
I don't have a favorite month, they're all pretty terrible.

In South Louisiana it's any month where the temperature stays below 90 and the humidity is below 50.

Either October, November, January or March. You can't really choose between those.
I'd like to say December but it's never cold enough by then here. I'd say Late October if it's a cooler season or January.
Summer is just horrible after the first week. If I couldn't do anything outdoors like paint my deck or mow the lawn like this year, it would be totally unbearable.

October, November or December - can't decide. Hmmm... Heavy Horses vs Stormwatch vs random Christmas compilation. Heavy Horses then.

Not being silly. It's a real month. My engineering friend made it up so he can have another month to cram in work.... Martin Luther King Day and Arbor Day were also put in there...

January for the warmth. April for the cooler, but still sunny days at the very edge of summer/autumn.

For real, yeah early autum/spring are my favorite times. Honestly, September is pretty kickin. The weather thus far has been glorious. Still warmth of course but those just a bit cool nights.
