Clivages, maybe. 2010 hasn't been too exciting for me. Can't wait for new Chromeo in September though!

Sadly, I haven't found any prog albums yet this year, but please keep up this thread, I'm sure I'll be turning toward it soon for recommendations.

1. Anesthetize - Porcupine Tree (the red book edition)
- Amazing packaging, amazing live show. Not much else to say. 2. Coyote - Kayo Dot (with the free pre-order CDr) - Both great discs, one of the best albums I own and a wonderful live recording. 3. The Complete I.E.M. - I.E.M. - Amazing albums and they sound great on the remaster. The packaging is also wonderful. 4. Cover Version - Steven Wilson - 5 great CD singles in a beautiful box set. 5. Alcest - Ecailles De Lune (fan box set) - Great album and wonderful presentation in the box - unfortunately the flag it came with was pretty horrible quality, especially considering the album art is so wonderful. My top 5 so far. |

There have been great releases so far this year.
Out of the ~200 I heard so far (and there's more on the way) here are the top 100: |

Salut, ca va? Disregard the grades, they're not actually all nine's, but due to space issue, it just rounds them up to 9. But those are in fact great albums, but you can focus on the top 20 if you wish. |

No matter how many times you post your lists I cannot get over how much music you listen to and buy, assaf. You need to scrobble all those, you would be a god!

hi Henry, He he, I just fill the emptiness of my life with a vast collection of music; it's the major reason to get up in the morning. Plus I work in a lab and so I have all the time to listen to music while I work (on i-pod, what else...) and at times I'm thinking my salary goes straight to buying more music, I could just do a direct deposit to some major vendors I buy from But seriously, I'd say focus on the top 10 or 20 and you'll get your fix. Or narrow it down by genre and it'll even be easier. If anyone wants I can dissect that list into "genres". |

That. But I admit I haven't listened to a lot of albums of 2010.

So far the best albums I've heard this year are:
Kayo Dot- Coyote
Universe Zero- Clivages
Ciccada- A Child in the Mirror
Clear winners these three, then I have a group that are all about equal;
Alcest- Ecailles De Lune
Ihsahn- After
Pain of Salvation- Road Salt One
Yakuza- Of Seismic Consequence
In Mourning- Monolith
Its ineteresting that for the first time in a long time the Prog Metal albums are playing second fiddle to the non metal prog genres.
Still have new albums from Intronaut and Enslaved to look forward too.

Given how many of your top albums of 2009 I ended up enjoying, I'll probably end up paying a fair amount of attention to that list when I can buy albums again. (too far behind right now in my listening)
