I usually listen through headphones just out of courtesy to my neighbors.  But if my ears start to hurt from no one wearing them then I'll just play through my laptop speakers but I like to be immersed in my music.

we were all split into groups of 15-20 people from the same faculty... no nice looking girls or even interesting people in my group, but boy did I see a lot of pretty nursing students

JJ - I'd wait until after classes start for any of that; there's nothing but first years and the volunteers around today (and most of the people are scaredy or lame) since it was a holiday.

two of my closest friends are also in engineering, so I foresee lots of misadventures later
