Either way I don't like them.
And I was referring to a collective manner of early punk rock bands, not just Bad Religion.

If Bad Religion "killed prog" then prog was pretty damn weak already
Woo, Empire Strikes First rocks, Let Them Eat War is probably my favorite BR track. I'm waiting for a couple of their older albums to come to my library, I borrowed Suffer a couple of days ago.

Yeah I know. But it was easier to pinpoint. You know thats how us human beings work, and now I made you look bad! And really I'm a 21st century digital boy. I dont know how to read but I got a lot of toys!

Sorry Necro, it's just a very funny thought that something might have actually killed prog at some point. Except prog itself of course.
For years I only had the non-Gurewitz album, because I happened to find them very cheap second hand. I really do like The Gray Race and there's nice stuff on The New America, but I'd say that the two albums right after his return are my favourites. Haven't heard New Maps of Hell.

Bad Religion....there's not really a single album of theirs I like, but I do like quite a few of their songs. And my brother got to see them live last Monday, so I'm a bit jealous.

Also, I got to cuddle with a woman for the first time in a long while. She's only a friend, but I still say that counts!

Nothing killed prog. The punk vs. prog thing is retarded.

HURR HEY HORSIE
I was talking with one of my good buds today and he was flipping out when I said Mastodon was 400 times better than BTBAM, but that's besides the point, and don't you comment on that.
What we were arguing about was that he said that BTBAM weren't metalcore. He said that sh*t like Killswitch, Parkway Drive, and As I Lay Dying are metalcore, which they are, but that BTBAM aren't. I was like, dude, what the hell are they then? And he's like, just, metal, maybe some death metal. BTBAM are effing metalcore, right?

iTunes is the worst f**king program to update. "Just metal" doesn't exist, everything is a subgenre!

Oh and Im seeing Bad Religion soonish. And yeah, prog just rotted from the inside. Like most genres. I like to blame Korn for "killing metal" but really....bands just have to mix it up. Best way to rebel against the current metal? Make sh*tty generic, heavy riffs, remove solos. Happens I spose. I just hate it. How to rebel against that? f**kin metalcore
