You should get whatever the f**k this is:

ChaotH plays a BeeBass custom Worker Bee, which at 9-strings runs about $3400.
Joel, my next bass is going to be a 9-string fretted.

Both. The luthier making my 9-string guitar has made two or three ERB's in the past (an 8 and a 10 string), and he gave me a price quote on the 9. It'll be a while though because I'll be buying the Baliset first.

I'll probably even end up dropping the 6-string from my lineup soon enough, I hardly ever play it anymore anyway.

Gotcha. Man 9 string guitar AND bass. Just get a drum program (or a beast like me) and you have your own Animals as Leaders!

@Kevin: Epic, I kind of want a bass but I'm still pretty average at guitar, so I'm trying to get my skills up still. I hope to find one of these under the ol' christmas tree this year: And if not that, then hopefully this:

^That guitar is pure sechs. Joel's, I meant.
Joel, I've been playing for like 9 months and you're probably an even better bassist than me, and you don't even play. I'm totally rushing head-forth into this and am totally unprepared, I'm sure you could handle it.

It looks nice for an offbrand. And only 200? How does it sound?

It sounds a lot better than $200. Not quite as good as some of the big name brands, but definitely worth it as a first ERB.

This is the only ridiculously odd type of bass I'd ever really want: The Zon Hyperbass!
