Rob's piece is really good Gave me the recording vibes once again, but right now I'm unable to do anything due to someone in the household having flu and no metal resistant ears. I listened to the piece I have and it needs some work in the structure and riffs. But the beginning's ok. I'm tempted to add some drums to make it clearer, but perhaps the fun lies in presenting a weird guitar track and let you figure out the changes.
One of these days I'll stop talking and show it to you And my so called equipment consists of Audacity and this mic: http://www.thomann.de/fi/the_tbone_sc440_usb.htm The drums come straight from the drum brain to the computer through a stereo plug, so the sound is very good.

eh, size doesn't matter. For HTcF he uses basically what you have. Puts some dimes on the crash for sizzle, and some tape on the toms for muffle

Or have the $ I assume And yeah "my" current one is a bass drum, snare, hi hat, ride, and one crash. One floor tom and double pedal Minimalism! My friends is larger and good quality. No cracked cymbals... |

Pekka is as well. And actually one of my good friends has a set as well. So there's always that. In fact his is really nice, far superior to the one currently in my garage. |

yeah, I guess like Rob if I record something I don't see myself using I might toss it your way... or, if you really need, I could dub in some guitar solos once you've got some tracks that need them |

Then don't. That, I think, is the best idea. This project takes the dross of everyone and spins it into gold. |

Appreciated. Save your best stuff for yourself. We have enough musicians and time to figure it out. As Ben said, though we need to move not like there is a deadline here |

Yes, metal is needed. At the very least some more composed music... And everyone is welcome Rob. We all got sh*t to do, part of the problem....but if you ever have the time please do contribute whatever you can. Once a few good pieces are made we can add to it, then move on and form songs from it. I prefer that to our original "everyone make anything and well piece it together" |

The problem with RTC is that, if I come up with something really good I want to use it for a couple personal projects I'm working on, and I don't want to give crap to you guys

I would be willing to work with RTC on a limited basis. What I mean by that is I have many other obligations (both musically and non-musically) going on right now. So it would only be when I had absolute free time. Still, I could help move this project along.
This crew could put out a record in 2011. Who knows? And noise is okay, but you need more than that. |

Yes, this started seriously so let's do it. Everyone put up whatever sh*t you want, we'll do with it as we can. If its no good, at least we are putting material out to start with. Edited by JJLehto - September 02 2010 at 22:30 |

OK, I know we have "real" guitarists but I'm recording some metal tomorrow.
It'll probably suck...but it'll be simple so we can add on maybe. Until the good guitarists put out some stuff (no rush of course) its all we got Edited by JJLehto - September 02 2010 at 22:19 |
