Tetrafusion release "Altered State" on 12th October through Nightmare Records.
Tetrafusion’s blend of complex, technical metal blended with a highly-intellectual melodic structure offers an eclectic brand of progressive rock and metal along the likes of PORCUPINE TREE, RUSH, DREAM THEATER, CYNIC, TOOL, and MUSE. Originally an instrumental band, the band released their debut record “Absolute Zero” to critical acclaim, which quickly launched the band into the underground metal scene, sans-vocals, along the likes of SCALE THE SUMMIT, ANIMALS AS LEADERS, LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT, and CANVAS SOLARIS, and was hailed as one of the top ten albums of 2009 by ULTIMATE-GUITAR.COM. Also commented Mark Michell in a recent interview with EXAMINER.COMabout the new release: "We really took a new direction musically. It's our first record to feature vocals, and we didn't want to have Absolute Zero, Part 2 with vocals over it, so we decided to just completely change our approach. I think Altered State's biggest slogan is "substance over style", where as our debut was very style-oriented and straight forward. Wedefinitely have our progressive, crazy fast heavy moments, but we took a step back and gave it a lot more atmosphere which is something I think we needed on many levels."

Kings X
International music critics and rock gourmets agree: King’s X is among the most unusual acts in the history of rock music. Their technical skills are above reproach, and their creativity has impressed fans and media alike. Next to Rush, there is currently no other rock trio capable of producing such a dense and at the same time transparent sound. The much anticipated double CD/DVD set, Live Love in London, showcases prime examples of King’s X’s incredible live show of classic groove rock featuring great melodies with vocal harmonies, driving rhythms and tough guitars. The album is set for an Oct. 26th release through InsideOut Music and will be available as a deluxe DVD+2CD edition in a special embossed package, as well as a 2CD set. A standard DVD-only version will also be available exclusively through CMDistro. Live Love in London is the first official DVD release by a band renowned for just such a transcendent rock show! The King’s X trio of Ty Tabor (guitars, vocals), Dug Pinnick (bass, vocals) and Jerry Gaskill (drums, vocals) have spanned continents and decades together, honing their craft, welcoming their fans in to experience inspired performances that come from their hearts.
Live Love in London was shot in January of 2009 at the Electric Ballroom in London, UK, because, as Tabor states, "London was the first place that accepted King's X. It has always been my favorite place to play." Pinnick recalls, "We were touring the US, playing for very small crowds, then we went to London; it was the Marquee and it was sold out!" Gaskill agrees, “London was the first place to make me feel like we might actually be a valid band.” |

Queensryche
Four-time Grammy nominees Queensryche have signed a multi-album, worldwide deal with Roadrunner/Loud & Proud Records. The band’s label debut – their twelfth studio album overall- is tentatively scheduled for a Spring 2011 release. Singer and founder Geoff Tate remains the creative nucleus of the band, which continues to make relevant, against-the-grain hard rock that entices fans, both new and diehard.
Queensryche have been – and unquestionably remain - one of the most respected and innovative names in forward-thinking hard rock throughout the course of their nearly 30-year history. Since their inception over 25 years ago, Queensryche have sold over 20 million albums worldwide and have performed in over 22 countries. “We are very happy to be signing with Road Runner/Loud and Proud. This is the rock label and a place where they are as excited about our music as we and our fans are ...” Tate said. “We are excited to welcome Queensryche to the label” stated Loud & Proud President Tom Lipsky. “They have earned global acclaim for their distinctive approach to music and we are confident of a successful partnership with them.” Queenryche’s 1988-issued album Operation: Mindcrime is universally respected as a classic concept release about rock, revenge and redemption. The album elicited comparisons to The Who’s Tommy and Pink Floyd’s The Wall and is ultimately regarded as one of the most important and essential hard rock records in the genre’s expansive canon. 1990’s follow-up, Empire, yielded a #1 single, the Grammy-nominated ballad “Silent Lucidity,” which the band performed at the 1992 Grammy Awards accompanied by a supporting orchestra. In 2006, the band released Operation: Mindcrime II, a scorching sequel to their original. The band then hit the road performing both albums Operation: Mindcrime and Operation: Mindcrime II back-to-back in their entirety in an incredible theatrical presentation throughout the year. The final performance was recorded at The Moore Theatre in Seattle that October and the Mindcrime at the Moore double CD/DVD release debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Music DVD Chart and eventually reached Gold status. |

Mind Key
Hi guys, we're quite embittered to announce that Andrea Stipa is no longer Mind Key drummer.
It's always difficult to part from a friend, but for band's sake maybe it's the best decision. We wanna thank Andrea for his musical contribution in Mind Key growth in these years, for his emotional involvment in live exhibitions, his great support in songwriting and (last but not least) for his friendship. We wish him all the best for the future. Good Luck! Very soon we'll announce new MK drummer. Stay tuned guys C U Soon MK |

Therion
Release the fourth album in their quadrology "Sitra Ahra"
Europe Sept 17th
America October 26th
Some thoughts by Christofer Johnsson about the lyrical concept behind Sitra Ahra:
The album is the fourth album in the quadralogy. Back in 1999 I started to write music for a follow up album to Deggial. Lets call it Album-X. I wrote 7-8 songs for it before I one day played 2 songs (later named "Secret of The Runes" and "Asgard") to former guitarist Kristian Niemann that I had written for a side project (which in the end never happened) and he said "Hey, those songs should not be used for some project, they belong in Therion!" I didn't know how they would fit in with the THERION album I was writing on and didn't bother much about it until I woke up one day and had the idea tot to make a nordic concept album, in which those two songs actually was perfect. So Album-X had to be put on hold and instead the Secret of The Runes album was made. In 2003 we went back to the saved songs to record a new album (Album-X, remember?), but meanwhile we had written a lot more songs and now all of a sudden we had enough material for 3 albums! Let's call them Album X, Y and Z. They formed a trilogy and we decided to record two of them and release at the same time and saved the third one for the future. So we recorded Sirius B (Album-X) and Lemuria (Album-Y) and Album-Z was saved. 2005 I got the idea for a completely different kind of album due to some songs I had written and the decision was made to put Album-Z on hold a bit longer and in 2006 we recorded Gothic Kabbalah instead. However, we took 2 songs from Album-Z ( "Der Mitternachtslöwe" and "Adulruna Rediviva") and put on the Gothic Kabbalah album and because of that this record got connected to the trilogy and thus we all of a sudden had a quadralogy. In 2009 it was finally time to start record the Album-Z, now entitled Sitra Ahra. As we had taken 2 songs from it and put on Gothic Kabbalah, there was space for some new songs to be added as well. The above is very important to understand, as this means only a few of the songs on Sitra Ahra are written in recent years. The majority of the songs are from the same pool of songs from which Sirius B and Lemuria was created from, meaning they were written between 2000-2004 (there was even a song from 1999, but we decided not to use it on the album in the end). By no means they are to be regarded as "leftovers". These where songs equal to those ending up on Lemuria and Sirius B, we just divided the songs we had on 3 albums. This really created a unique approach to the songs as I have evolved so much musically since those songs were written. I think of it in terms as a vintage wine that becomes better and better with the years. For the time being:

Circus Maximus
The recording of the new album has been set back a couple months, but we can assure you it will be worth the wait! We have really taken it farther both musically and lyrically than before. We are extremely excited with this one :) As soon as we start the recordings we will bring you weekly updates with teasers, interviews and videos from the studios.
Mike has just traveled over the pond for the Kamelot's "Pandemonium Over North America Tour 2010". As Roy Khan has become ill Mike has on short notice agreed to fill in for him to make this tour a reality. Filling in for such a great perfomer and singer from a band with so many dedicated fans is a huge thing. Mike is extremely humble and honored to be a part of this. We wish Roy all the best and quick recovery. All the best Mats, Truls, Lasse, Glen and Mikey. |

Excellent stuff to look forward to!!! Circus Maximus, Therion.......I rather liked the drummer from Mind Key, I thought he was very good. Who I don't care for is the singer, reminds me way too much of the singer from Disturbed...I liked the first singer better......Main reason I cannot get into Pulse For A Graveheart like Journey/Diamond......
