Funny you say that James, because I've only met people here for college from Australia, none from NZ.

There are too many Davids and Alexes. I'm used to there being at least one other Matthew.

Most of the Australian guys I've met have been incredibly laid back, not hyper-active at all.  The guy who lives across the hall from me this year is also a bassist.  That makes three of us in three rooms right beside each other. 

Actually, I've started noticing that I call my mate (who is called Dave to almost everyone) David.  I have no idea why this is.

My only "real life" friend named David prefers to go by his middle name, Alex.  Imagine if he joined the Shred, things would get extra confusing. 

Matt has stolen my 'cause.  Next he'll be typing 'phone and 'plane as well.

@ James: The Great Vowel Shift  I was wondering if it was possible that some people moved to the US before that change occured, and that might have influence the languages differently. Like the difference between France's French and ours in Quebec. I read somewhere that there was a bit of a shift in pronunciation after the French Revolution, but since we had been cut off for a while after the British Conquest, we weren't "told", so of course we evolved totally differently, but there's a bit more of King Louis the XIV's French in ours... Who knows...
